Chatspace is an interactive installation exploring digital intimacy. Participants enter the space and interact with an omniscient stranger on a chat site. Through these interactions the user develops a relationship and understanding of a being that isn't there or does not exist.

As the participant progresses through the conversation, their responses affect the space around them; the chatbot changes the space to reflect the participant's music choices and color preferences.
